Impress Me
Impress Me consists of respondent emails sourced from a failed relationship. Using alphabetized metal printing rods the text is hammered in to fragile paper letter by letter, thus giving the correspondences themselves a weighted and elevated impression. The works move from a highly legible to illegible state as the impact of the process increasingly tears and rips into the surface; a metaphor for the fragmenting relationship as it comes to an end.
