Useful in explaining complex and overlapping definitions, the Euler diagram (similar to a Venn diagram) is a visual means of representing sets and their relationships. The experience of feeling welcome is highly individualistic and influenced by multiple interceding factors. This welcome mat is a depiction of these sometimes complex relationships at play. We might, however, read the graphic more simply as design or a nod to abstraction.
