What Goes Down Must Come Up is a piece reflecting on life events of the last two and a half years, both my own and those of the community. Often in conversations, the idea of a “roller coaster” or “waves” were used to describe emotions, thoughts, memories and experiences during this time. Many of us suffered loss in multiple ways, and many of us experienced tremendous growth. As community members enter the threshold of the space where this welcome mat is placed, it is a reminder and reassurance that even at our very low points, there is still hope.
